Kirroughtree - MBR Trail of the Year.

"It is hard to pick a single favourite section, McMoab's nod to Utah's slickrock is the most recognisable but after the super steep Heartbeak Hill, the whole second half of the loop is simply superb.
Rocky, fast and flowing, the descent from the view at Black Craigs onwards gives and gives with a perfect balance of speed and technical edge. Loads of blips, berms and hollows mean you can pump and jump your way down the majority of the last hour or so and keep your speed really well.
It's a true roller-coaster, without ever relenting for more than a couple of minutes here and there.
Overall this is a fantastic, as good as it gets trail, as well as a real physical workout if you ride hard, all topped off with a smart café."
We couldn't have put it better our selves!
If you missed the full write-up, the April edition of MBR (out now) has Kirroughtree in a Local Knowledge feature giving the low down on the history to the trail, as well as all the current info you need for a great day's riding.
