A delightful detached cottage with a lovely garden and off street parking centrally situated in Castle Douglas and offering a considerable degree of seclusion with all the facilities which the town has to offer on the doorstep.
Recently modernised and upgraded and furnished and equipped to a high standard this is an ideal holiday cottage. Although situated in the town, sitting out in the garden you are totally private and secluded.
Castle Douglas, the Food Town, provides an excellent range of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and hotels and is an ideal centre for exploring the wider area. The Solway Coast with its sandy beaches and rocky coves is within a half hour"s drive and Loch Ken, with water sports and excellent coarse fishing, and the hills, are very close.
Castle Douglas has a swimming pool and a golf course and there are a number of other golf courses throughout the area. Game, coarse and sea fishing are all available locally. For the naturalist the Red Kite Trail is close to the town and slightly further afield are the nationally important wildfowl reserves of Mersehead and Caerlaverock.
